Spent the night last night sitting with him and our daughter. I think his 3 year battle with a brain tumor is drawing to a close, don’t see how it could possibly be much longer. He’s 6’2 and weighs 88 pounds. He seems to not be able to swallow anything at all, even liquid, for the last 36 hours or so, won’t even allow meds or food to be put in his mouth now. Just turns his head and clinches his jaw as best he can.
Hasn’t been able to communicate for a couple months other than a thumbs up or down and that’s rare now. I really am surprised he was still with us this morning when the sun came up.
Damn shame, I wish I could have taken the ride for him so they had a shot at a life together. We found out he had the tumor just days before their wedding and it’s been a pretty fast ride downhill after about the first 6 months.
