I remember when weyerhaeuser land in Lamar Co. Was $1 acre, no way I would pay big money to hunt pine thickets with no hardwood or farmland around & mabe have a few 115 class deer on it. Weyco like $3-4 an acre here when it comes up. I'm guessing the millions of public land acres to hunt is the main reason...
