I had one of your original prototypes that I gave you feedback on. Lost it last year when it got run over. Was a great call. Since you were one of the original testers, I’ll build you another one, on me. I’ll get up with you once I get some more built. I’ve also got one of your originals you sent as a tester. I had one of your original prototypes that I gave you feedback on. Lost it last year when it got run over. Was a great call. Since you were one of the original testers, I’ll build you another one, on me. I’ll get up with you once I get some more built. I’ve also got one of your originals you sent as a tester. And I’ve still got it and no it’s not for sale! Great call. Sweet pic and yes, you were one of my very first testers. That had to be 14-15 years back, if I had to guess. It was probably close to that at least. A cool sorry about that turkey. I had hunted up till around 11am on the WMA and had sat down on a log to rest. I was about 15-20 yds inside the woods from a gas line. I hadn’t heard a turkey all morning. As I was resting, I took out my box and made a couple calls. Nothing. I gave it a few minutes. Pulled out that mouth yelper and made a few calls. Nothing. I pulled out a slate. Same result. I was about to just accept a butt whooping when I thought I would call one last time before getting up and working my way back to the truck. I pulled out the FA and gave it a good 6-8 note yelp. Joker cut it off and was maybe 50 yds across the gas line just inside the woods. Next thing I hear is hard drumming as I’m scrambling to get my back to a tree and I flip off the safety. He comes in drumming on a string and is dead within 5 min of gobbling. Seemed nothing would pull a gobble out of him until he heard the FA.

I’m sick that I can’t find the pic of my bird I killed with stony’s call. Had a pic with the call and a story. Maybe it’s posted on here but it was over a decade ago. Maybe 15 years. I can’t find it. Maybe I’ll get to post another one this year!
