From reading his post for a number of years i think this is legit not a joke. Like the 8ft Timber rattlers and black panthers he’s seen multiples of? Jake might as well be Paul Bunyan with some of his tall tales Not sure about the rest, but I'll back Jake up on the giant rattlers. I grew up in the same area and saw them too. My snake story - this was about the same time frame as mentioned - mid to late 80s. Wife, kids and I were driving down Brindlee Mtn going to church. We were driving north. Across from Edgemon's Gun store on the north bound lane a rattler came out from the east side onto the hwy. It was F'n huge. He stretched all the way across 231, his tail barely clearing the pavement when his head got to the median. I slowed down and got in the left lane where I could look down out my window (had a Chevy van) and eased very close to him. His head was a big as a coffee can and at center he was as thick as my thigh. I followed him slowly, didn't have a gun, he went about 25 -30 yards, crossed back across the highway and into a rocky area.

I didn’t read all the comments, but surely I’m not the only one trying to figure this out. How has he only been to Fl, Al, MS, GA, PA, and MD and never been on a plane? How do you get to PA and MD without going through multiple other states, without flying?
