I doubt that I'll ever be in another hunting club. I've been in 3. Too much dang drama and the reason for most of the drama is because I've never been in a club where the same rules applied to everyone. In all 3 clubs the "president" could do what he pleased. That's why I left them all. Got that right. Me and several others got the shaft yesterday evening, damn P$!$ies didn't even have the balls to call. You serous Clarke?

Our main and most important rules are bring plenty beer and plenty food. If you cook, you do not worry about dishes. The non cookers will clean everything. If you drink to much don’t fall in the path I take to my camper. If you’re the first one in the camp house in the morning, make the coffee and start a fire if it’s cold. If you’re the last one out the camp house, turn out the lights and close the door. Another important rule is always have fun but be safe and treat the property as yoi would treat your own. That’s about all we got. Those are the kind of hunting club rules I could get used to.

No guests on the property other than paying members and their family. Only have two members and they always have at least one more family member accompany them each time they come and yet they don’t want to abide by the one rule. They are both good friends of mine but if they keep on they might not see it that way. I keep their dues just like I receive them just in case they don’t work out. I can and will refund their money and not invite them back. I didn’t need help before I let them in and I don’t need help now. It’s a bad position to be in especially with friends involved but at the end of the day I spend a lot of money to hunt mediocre land and it’s my way or the highway. I know that sounds bad but that’s just the way it is. Ooooooooooooo drama
We will burn that bridge when we get there

Didnt hav as many good bucks as i wanted this year - but blessed to hav my own spot
0 drama.
Been in a few clubs w 2 sets of rules
small number of like minded people has best chance

My buddies hunting club’s lease just got sold and they’ve had the lease for 45 years. Talk about a kick in the balls!!

The guest rule depends on your goals. A trophy club probably needs minimal guests. The club I'm currently in charges 20 bucks a day and has a limited amount of days you're allowed, but we're not hard-core trophy hunting (primarily a dog hunting club). Hard to make enough rules for people that won't act right.

I'm so glad I no longer deal with club rules. Last one I was in had a 6pt or better rule. President shot a big dear (125 class) and a forky in the head immediately after with a scope and said it looked like the larger deer.
Guess what? he didn't have to pay the fine lol.

I was in one - prez and son could do what want - hard rules on everybody else - prez was in his 60s w several mounted deer on wall - he shot a baby 4 point one day - he had always preached shoot good deer - he said - u see that fork u got to shoot as he was looking at baby deer - i was sanding there looking at the baby deer and i was speechless - in shock - typical stupid club crap

I was in a club one time that required you to shoulder mount any bucks you shot. The cost will make many reconsider squeezing the trigger.

If you kill over the limit. leave em in the woods and come back and get it after the others are cleaned and put away.
Make sure when using a spotlight at night, you are behind locked gate and cannot be seen from public road.
Night hunting is limited to rimfire rifles or suppressed firearms.
When piddling, wear a face mask. If you see a game camera, pull the sd card.
Beer cans are carried out. Do not leave them in the shooting houses. They are too noisy when other people want to use the stand.
