I adopted a grown woodpecker. Owed it to him because my cat almost killed him. Destroyed his left wing. Thought if people keep stupid canaries I can keep a woodpecker. So I did. He couldn't fly of course but could hop around well well. So instead of Woody I name him Hoppy. Got him to eat - well, not really. He always did what he wanted to. Birds are like that. He had big black eyes and would watch everything I'd do. It was as if he was always trying to determine the best way to kill me.

He had a tongue that would reach out 6" to grab a worm. It was frightening really. Zap! And gone. Then he would stare at me. Never kept him in a cage. No need to. Last thing I'd see at night when turning off the light was him on the headboard staring at me with his shinning coal black eyes. Not long after he arrived I began having terrible nightmares and severe headaches. The nightmares were fantastically frightening. It was like seeing what a crazy man would see in a kaleidoscope. The headaches would last for hours.

I became ill and couldn't eat. Fevers, nightmares, sleeplessness - my new world. Then one night I woke suddenly and saw Woody was on the pillow next to my head. I felt a burning sensation and the realized something was deep in my ear. As I sat up Woody pulled his long snaky tongue out of my ear back into his beak. Then I swear to God he smiled at me and then hopped back on the headboard. I grabbed him, opened the window and threw him out. The next morning there was a loose pile of feathers in the yard. My cat finally had the last say.

I recovered quickly. I'm doing fine. Other than standing at infrequent times and banging my head on the wall repeatedly I've completely recovered.

Should i take a baseball bat or antenna. Why dont 308s or 243s kill deer. Why one man in concerned over what another man pays for a euro mount. Why CALD doesnt get as much attention as Bigfoot. Who in the cornbreadhell came up with the dominate gobbler theory. Why doesn't everybody only shoot deer that are 5 or older.
You know. the important stuff.

The first computers were very large, stupid and there were very few of them. Each one took several extremely smart people to run them. Now the computers are tiny, super smart and plentiful. Each one is worked very poorly by a single moron.
