Haven't picked up a rifle in years. Just enjoy the challenge, even though it's cost me a couple of big ones here and in Mississippi. Still haven't thought about putting the bow up.

Taking my 8 year old daughter for the first time on Saturday to a 2 man ladder stand, so I'll be taking the rifle. She's begging to go and I'm dying to take her.

I get to spot and video for my youngest son, that is the closet thing I will get to rifle hunting. Funny thing, gun season opens yesterday, at our club we had three deer killed, one with a long bow, one with a compound and yes, one with a rifle. Since then I've bagged 127 deer in Alabama, Kentucky , Mississippi, and Texas. It makes you a better hunter. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
