It's been a busy day of travelling, getting sitters paid, meeting with the Memorial Chapel and getting Dad's affairs squared away, etc...
I can't possibly answer all the posts on here so I wanted to reach out to everyone that has posted, sent me private messages, called and texted.
This is an amazing community of folks on here. Everyone has been very comforting through several death in my family over the last several years, and I have met many folks on here personally.
We kid around, argue, fuss and fight on here, but this is a great group of folks. Salt of the Earth.
I just want to say "Thank You" to everyone.

Getting older means adapting to the constant presence of loss. You lose your career, your identity, your status, your health, your friends, and then worst of all you lose your loved ones. Every day is a blessing but as it passes you just shift one more notch down the line. For every glorious sunrise there always comes a sunset. All you can do is remember the good times, forget the bad ones, take care of the necessary, and start another day tomorrow. Sorry for your loss.

Sorry for the pain of loss but happy for you to have the peace of knowing your Dad is with God. He will still be on his first day in Heaven when you get there and it will be the first time either of you are perfect. You have a lot to enjoy looking back on and even more to look forward.
