Suppressors are very simple devices, any one made by a competent machinist is good to go. YHM is probably the best deal for the money. If a lightweight suppressor is important, then spend a little extra and get one made out of fancy alloys.
Are you putting it on a semi auto? Is this just going to be for hunting, or defense too? Direct thread will give you a lighter and more compact set up, but will back off or possibly seize to the barrel after a high volume of shooting. A qd mount is better for this application, but those mounts can get expensive.
There is a universal suppressor mount thread pitch. YHM, silencerco, and few other companies use it. If you go QD, I would get one of those to give you more options on suppressor mounts. I plan on just using it for hunting right now. More so for hogs on some land I get to hunt, but I know I’ll want to shoot a doe or 2 on my lease with it once I get it going. Not to concerned with weight right now as I don’t plan on it being a tree stand gun.
