I have been lucky enough to kill 3 doe so far this season with my bow. My goal is to kill at least 3 more with the bow and some with my rifle.
Curious about how many of you still bowhunt during gun season.
Options are:
Gun only
Bow and Gun
Bow Only
I will be a bow and gun.

Bow only.
Couldn't tell ya when the last time I used a rifle. So far I have killed 2 does and 8 point. Have see 26 deer in the stand. Hope the luck continues.

Will bow hunt 95% of the time. Will use gun in rain and when feeling really lazy and want to mostly walk around scouting.

mostly bow till at least January, some gun if I feel like hunting a clearcut. With an 11 year old, i don't get to shoot much anyway

If I am hunting by myself, it will definitely be with a bow. If I am hunting with any of my kids, I may take a rifle, so that we can sit in a shooting house.

Bow&gun..I usually will carry both unless I know I will have a close shot.I have mainly ditchrows w/ some woods and 250+ac of wheat/bean fields,if it's close the bow, for the other's......

1991 was the last year I hunted deer with a gun. As long as I can pull a bow back, it will stay that way.

Since my son shot his first Deer last Saturday, I don't have a gun. I give him my gun, the one he used to kill his first Deer. That way he'll always have the gun he used and will remember the hunt. I'm going to be hunting the rest of the year with my recurve.

Rifle...Hunting in Paint Rock Valley will kill a man bow hunting all year...It's hard throwing a stand on your back and climbing those hills! It flat SUCKS!!!!!

I plan to bowhunt every trip unless it is raining, then I'll bring out the encore. I've killed 2 does so far and want to shoot a few more with the bow!

The only rifle hunt will be with my son (12 yo). Otherwise, sticks and string only! I'm hooked on this chit!!

IF you really "like the challenge" why do you not go out in the woods, cut a stick, make a bow, pick up a rock, make an arrow head, make an arrow, attach the arrow head and try that method as ole AH Fred does. Just funning fred.
