Mississippi opens their bow season two weeks before we do. I’d like a 10/1 opening bow season and go back to 1/31 to end gun season. I get more daytime buck pics from 10/1-10/15 every year Care to guess why? It, like everything else, is 100% pressure related. If you didnt hunt at all in October and neither did any of your neighbors in the surrounding areas, you'd get those same daylight pics the first 2 weeks in Nov, Dec, or Jan depending on when you started hunting the property. C’mon now Abolt, quit making sense in here This thread has absolutely nothing to do with sensibility.

Close hunting every day at noon so the deer can feed in peace. No hunting on Saturday and Sunday that would save more lives. Makes as much sense as some of these other ideals. Takes a little more skill to kill one in the morning

Zone D needs to go back to the same dates we had. Gun opened with the rut and gun closed in Feb when good bucks were on the move in daytime for food. What we have now screwed all that up.

IMO, does shouldn't be killed in October. A lot of fawns still have spots then. What are their chances of survival without momma? I’ll agree with that, Archery should be pushed back to Nov. 1 since we’ve extended season into February now.

Season should be:
Jan 1st - 15th archery
Jan 16th- Feb 15th rifle
Bag limits
1 buck per year
1 doe during archery season
That's it, for the whole state. If rut doesn't fall during those dates , too bad!!! That’s the dumbest chit I’ve read in a while… Hell yea let’s just throw the whole season out the window and never have one. Haha wtf over
