Looking for opinions on a new scope for my 7mm. I've spent a considerable amount of time on opticsplanet and similar sites and am a bit overwhelmed. I'm looking for a good hunting scope, no interest in one that has all the yardage/wind adjustments. Thats the problem I'm running in to, it seems like all of the higher end scopes have these adjustments that I don't want. I'm looking for something with these specifics; 4-12 or 4-16 with a 30mm tube and a 50-52mm objective. Price range would be up to $1500. Thanks for the help!

i struggled when i was scope hunting for my 300 a few years ago. Got a bunch of different recommendations but just went with what i felt comfortable with . One tip if the guy behind the counter will let you take a scope outside and look through it that helps tremendously.. GLWS
Georgia Football..Acts like Bama but has a trophy case like South Carolina.

Have you looked at the meopta optika6 line?

I have looked mainly at Leupold and Zeiss. I did look at a few meopta's, but can't recall the exact model. I'll check out the Optika 6 line. Thanks

Don't forget the importance of the reticle. Lota folks get caught up in a scope brand and "low light" performance , only to take take a reticle not suited for their type of hunting.

Swarovski Z6 line - the older Zeiss Diavari line - Now the Zeiss V4 or V6 lines, catch them on sale on used
Shaneomac2 had it right, see if you can take some out for a test drive - Years ago, ago ages ago, the guy behind the counter allowed me to take two Zeiss, two Swarovski scopes, and a couple others all with just a handshake for an entire weekend (that is why I still deal with Simmons on all my major purposes even though I live over an hour and a half away from them now.

Only driver for the 30mm is that I already have a DNZ scope mount on the gun. Simple fix if I find a better option in the 1".

If you could live with 10x, the Trijicon Accupoint 2.5-10x56 would be awesome. Duplex with green dot is a great reticle.

Leaning towards the illuminated Zeiss V4. Trying to determine if my setup can accommodate a 56. First, get rid of that fugly DNZ mount. Hint.

Had a zeiss conquest had problems sent back replaced it with lesser scope,sold it bought meopta 4x12x50 very happy. Trust someone who's been there done thT ,buy meopta or you will be sorry
