Well its taken 6 years for me to finally kill a deer with my bow but got that monkey off back this morning. I had a little doe come in behind me this morning I stood there with bow in hand, shaking like a leaf for about 15 mins while she fed around, she finally came straight down the trail that I needed her to that put her at 20yds.... I drew my bow waited for the perfect shot and let that Muzzy fly.... BAM!!! nothing but dirt!! she jumped straight up and ran about 20yds and stopped and looked back, I grabbed another arrow quickly drew and let another Muzzy fly. Well I guess she heard the shot cause she turned and the arrow hit her nearly straight in the Butt! it went straight throught the rear hip bone and must have caught the main artery. She ran a LONG way. Well after getting to her I realized my first bow kill was just like my first gun kill years ago.... A Croc Pot deer.. she was very small, but I'm proud of her.. I'm sick for that horrible shot but glad I recovered her.
