I’m so tired of hearing people say “I’m fine” that I almost just want to leave them alone. You’re “fine” and don’t want help? No problem. Be sick or hurt or die. Ignore the medical professionals’ advice. Eat dirt and drink cat urine because great-great-great Uncle Josiah did it. Whatever. If you’re too stupid and proud to accept legitimate help when clearly something is wrong then that’s on you.
And yet the better angel in me that sometimes escapes prevents me from not helping, in some instances.
