E wait till tom. gut shot is 100 percent fatal but needs a good 10 to 12 hours to die you will find him in his first bed if u wait till tom We’re gonna get after it in the morning!  Whatcha thinking? We got a chance of finding it? The deer that is. I’m just hoping the coyotes don’t run it too far tonight. Oh yeah, you definitely have a really good chance if it’s a green slime gut shot……just as long as the “chit happens” variable doesn’t come into play somehow. Gut shots are high percentage recoveries but I’ve learned to never count on any track being a for sure thing…..Water often comes into play…..Good luck!

I can’t stand a damn thief. Someone got mine a few years ago. I was turkey hunting. I’m very thankful I didn’t catch him in the act because I would be in prison instead of looking at Aldeer.

Bait him up with another vehicle tomorrow and not the one without the converter! Have a guy sit close by…. I thought about it but that could only end badly Sounds to me like it’s already ended bad for you… I’m not trying to be seabass but until a thief gets what he’s been giving he ain’t gonna stop, ever. hope you find the deer though and all intact

Hate to h are about your truck. Have u guys who have to park in sketchy places thought about just taking a spare cell cam and setting it up to each truck

I really didn’t think it was a sketchy area. Track went to private after about 700 yards. John was thinking it’s probably intestine since it went so far. Hate it but it happens when I take shots like that at last light.

The guy admitted he took a bad shot that he had screwed up before and blew it off with an “oh well”. He needs a lecture since he apparently did not get it from whoever taught him to hunt and has not learned from experience what shots to take and what shots not to take.By his own words this is not the first time this has happened. Mistakes happen, the point is to learn from them not repeat them.

Deer moved when I drew, didn’t follow him enough or get him to stop again like I should. Other than that I’m fine with my actions.
I’ve made bad shots before sure but I don’t take marginal shots. I passed on many of a deer this season waiting on a good broadside shot. This was a good opportunity but I rushed it when the deer moved. It ain’t gonna hurt my feelings. Learn from it try not to do it again.

And these are my thoughts looking back retrospect-fully on the shot. In the moment I thought I made a good shot. For all I know I could have hit a limb or vine. Anyway, I’ll get back to it soon. Thank y’all for the help.
