Daggum mess over here. Cecil Ashburn and Governor’s both had a bunch of folks stranded on top, some still up there. I rode around for a few hours shuttling folks who’d walked down from the top where it was gridlocked.

I have a buddy and his family staying with us tonight because they can’t get back to Tennessee. Said everything was solid ice from guntersville to Hampton cove.
We are not perfect, only forgiven!!!

Finally got turned around and looped around the icy hill I was near that boogered up everything. Made it it to safety for the night. 3.5 hours sitting but glad to be OK.
At noon today the forecasts I saw were for light bands of snow and nothing of this magnitude. Nothing about road issues, except maybe at high elevations. I think everything just went to chit about 2 or so, and nothing could be done about it by then.

Had to go rescue a friends sons off that section of 36 between reeves peach farm and Cracker Barrel so if if you saw some one driving down that section on a Ranger...... it wasn't me... 🤣

My niece lives in Hampton Cove. She said there were a bunch of vehicles stranded on the mountain up there.

My son and I were working yesterday between Florence and the TN state line. It started snowing on us about 10:00 and snowed all day. It really came down at times and we had about an inch on the ground. It was a beautiful and unexpected snow. Then came time to get home when it got dark! Hwy 13 was slick as glass and we slid several times pulling the trailer. When we got just south of the Shoals, it was dry as a bone. Hard to imagine the difference 40 miles north of us! Folks had alot of trouble getting around up there last night, but not as bad as the Huntsville area folks had.
I can't stand a thief.

no snow here. I hate the stuff.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
