Got several people in the ditch close to my house. Pulled a old lady out on my way home from hunting.

On my way home earlier the roads here in town were getting covered pretty good. I imagine it’s gonna make a mess somewhere

Been sitting on 36 for two hours. Looks like I may be here tonight. I have Pop Tarts, sugar-free Red Bull and Cope, so I’ll be good. Could go on the shoulder but other vehicles won’t move. No one’s moving, tbh. Could be worse, though. Saw a car flipped in a ditch and reports of other problems

We all remember what that mud puddle did to Gomer. If he happens to be up here visiting family or friends, we'll have to make an Aldeer rescue party to get him back home.

Well, this probably doesn't actually help and don't know which direction you are going but if you somehow make it through that and can't get all the way to H.C I'm in SE Huntsville if you need somewhere to stop.

Was this a big whiff by the meteorologists? I usually keep good tabs on weather forecast and don’t recall seeing any of them predicting this crap. I’m stuck at my in-laws for the night because Hwy 36 in Hartselle is closed. What a mess.

It took me over two hours to get from the lower end of Paint Rock Valley to the south end of Grant this evening. No phone service up at the hunting club and I had no idea it was snowing like it was. It started spitting snow there about 1:30 but we only got a good dusting. Was surely an unpleasant surprise when we got back to the asphalt.

Eastern Bypass in Hampton Cove is a mess. Folks sliding off the road while they sit in traffic. 72 was a sheet of ice from gurley to woodville. We slide all over the place in my dads truck hauling the sxs. Watched several cars slide off into the median.

Dad has been working a wreck on Hobbs Island Rd since 4pm. Talked to him at 8:30, they are still there. They can't even get an ambulance to it. Said the ambulance wrecked and there have been 4 cars hit the ambulance since. He has a fire engine stuck in a solid sheet of ice on the road and does not have tire chains with it. He had a salt/sand/gravel truck finally arrive as I was talking to him.

Huntsville Fire wrecked engine 4 on Monte Sano this afternoon. From the pics I saw those boys had a wild ride.

I talked to Woodsman42 a few minutes ago and they are stuck at the river bridge in Guntersville. Road is barricaded north and south bound.
