Congrats to the killers.
Hayman, you had that Recon loaded down. 🤣 Awesome brows on that buck. Little recon will slap do it. Had to come back home and load another 8 point my dad shot on the front rack. Worked out good 180 on the back and 150 on the front.

Congrats on the kills. I had a fun afternoon. Got seated about 2:30. Within 20 min a doe had popped out of the thicket to my left. 30 min later a spike comes barreling off the spoil pile beside me and stops at about 10’ looks around and trots off. One traveling SW and one traveling E. A little bit later 5 pigs came trotting through heading E to where a shooter was bedding last night so I was hoping they would bump him out (just like the previous night). Well a few min later I hear something trotting in and around the corner steps a 100lb sow. We were eye level and maybe 35 yards apart. She bristled up pinned her ears and growled. So the .444 taught her a lesson 🤣🤣

Congrats JD5036 and hayman! Need some stories y’all! Thank y’all! You probably really don’t want to hear my story. It’s pretty boring but I will tell you anyway. First off I have been keeping tabs on this deer for three years. He was a decent 7 with long brows last year and I was going to kill him. By the time I saw him he had broken one of his brows and about a week later he broke the other brow off so I wouldn’t shoot him. Glad I didn’t because he made a big jump this year. To make a long story short, I have hunted this deer two years and the first time I lay eyes on him this season I am walking down the road carrying a bag of corn and look at the feeder and see a deer there eating. I turn around go back to the truck lay the bag of corn down and get my gun. I step across the road behind the shooting house on the ground and look through the scope and there stands the deer I have spent all this time hunting broadside at 100 looking at me. I take aim and down he goes. That’s really about all there was to it. Kinda sad I wasn’t really hunting yet but that’s just how it works sometimes. The only explanation I have is that he must have been frozen stiff to the ground and couldn’t run or either he knew it was going to be so cold tonight that he figured it would be better to go ahead and get it over with instead of freezing to death.

Thank yall Not to much of a story but Ive had this deer hanging around my place since July. About three weeks ago he went a miss and had been roaming around other pieces around mine. I’ve had three daylight pictures of him including today all season. He was smart but what got him killed today was women and food. He kept messing with some of the does I had in front of me and finally broke and came to the feed trough. It was sure a good afternoon I saw four dog racked bucks and a pile of does and fawns. I don’t think I’ve ever killed anything right here around Christmas this weather definitely helped
