David had at least eight wives plus concubines, yet somehow God loves, favors, and promotes him even after the debacle with Bathsheeba.
David's son Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines. God never condemns the NUMBER of women in Solomon's life, but rather the fact that many of his wives were not Godly, Jewish women and led his heart to follow false gods.
