He cracked me up about his receivers not catching the ball, he said that he was afraid that the receivers would lose their hands if they didn't use. RIP

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Leach was one of the greats--great offensive mind, would give you his time, wasn't afraid to tell it like it is. Also just a damn funny man with a great perspective on what matters in life whether it's the Flora-Bama, nachos, etc.

Disregarding his first season at each University, he had winning seasons 17 out of 18 seasons. That's pretty impressive. I'm a die hard Ole Miss fan, but I'm kind of glad he went out on top with the Egg bowl in his pocket.

RIP Coach.

Read a funny memoir from one of his assistants this morning. Guy was in Coach Leach's office doing some work when Coach's cell phone rang. He answered it and after a few seconds asked where the caller was from. Assistant goes back to work while Leach has a conversation for about 30 minutes. Phone call drops, and Leach dials the number back and proceeds to talk another 30 minutes. Eventually the call ends and the assistant asks, "Coach, who were you on the phone for an hour with?" Coach Leach replies, " I don't know, they had the wrong number!"

He will be missed and hard to replace. Any thoughts on who the next coach will be?

People can say what they want about Kiffin, but he was pure class in his statement about Leach. Said he didnt realize the significance of it, when they hugged at the end of the egg bowl, but then said, "I'm glad that "coach" got his last college win against my team and I wouldnt change anything about it.

Kiffin on Mike Leach...
Quote
"I truly loved Coach Leach and every minute I shared with him," said Kiffin. "I have been able to work with several of his former players and coaches, and they have told so many amazing stories about the impact he had on their lives, going back to our years together in the Pac-12, I have always felt tremendous respect and admiration for coach, his unique personality and his innovative mind, and I can't imagine college football without him. I'm grateful to be part of his finally win, hug him and watch him walk off like the winner that he is.

"I know God is welcoming the Pirate home now."
