I'm checking in. Wind is wrong for where I wanted to hunt so, I'm settling in the ground blind watching a creek bottom. Ran deer off walking in.

First opening day I think I’ve missed since I started hunting. Don’t know how to feel about it. Got home from work at 8 am and got up at 2 this afternoon. Just didn’t have it in me. Does all over my cameras probably will get out in the morning. Good luck everyone. Congratulations to the killers.

Dropped a six pointer. Decent rack. Cool curved brow tine. Massive body. This old joker just plain wouldn’t die. Took all four of my bullets. All connected. Shooting a .308. I was really hoping I wasn’t going to have to run it down with my knife! At least you don’t have to tenderize the meat!
