With my friend trying to get him his first deer. This morning was a bust and the wind is wrong for where we wanted to go so we’re just on the ground behind some fallen trees. Lookin over a feeder, maybe a doe or dumb spike will come out. They’ll have to be dead too, this guy don’t know how to be quiet

Dropped a six pointer. Decent rack. Cool curved brow tine. Massive body. This old joker just plain wouldn’t die. Took all four of my bullets. All connected. Shooting a .308. I was really hoping I wasn’t going to have to run it down with my knife!

Few does this morning, this afternoon I’m sitting close to where I did this morning. Cutover with a small greenfield in front of me.
FNL shot a doe this morning and when I got back we went to look for her. Said he found a little blood and walked where she should have went. Haha. Found blood and found her about 50 yds in the opposite direction. All he kept saying is “‘looks like she turned south”🤷♂️😁
