I need to order a jump starter today for riding mowers and a 6.0 Chevy truck.

I have a big set of jumper cables that we use to jump off 24v charter buses, so no need to recommend jumper cables.

Which jump box would you buy? portable

Thanks

I’ve had serval different ones over the years, they all seemed to do what I needed when I needed. I don’t particularly remember the brands of them. 1 was a Stanley and lasted many years before going bad. The one I have in my wife’s vehicle may be an Everstart. Both probably came from Walmart.

Portable or plug in? I’ve bought a used roll around one that works good and a Stanley battery charger with a start button that will crank the starter. But both are plug in. I’m curious which portable ones hold their charge longest for emergency use.

NOCO. Santa picked it out, and I had never used one before. This one does what it supposed to do. Trucks, tractors, boats, ATV’s. It’ll even charge your phone. This is a NOCO boost HD. 12 volt 2000 amp. I’ve only got one, but it has worked well when I needed it.

They're kinda pricey but they make 12/24 volt combo units. They're pretty high amp.

Noco! I bought 2 last year. Makes jumper cables obsolete.

We use this one for semi trucks. You could scale down a size or two for what you need.

I have two Noco units.

One big one for starting larger gas engines and small diesels. Works great. About $200 on Amazon.

I bought the smaller unit for the wife's Tacoma. Haven't had to use it yet. About $100 on Amazon.

I do keep jumper cables in both vehicles for backup.

Don't confuse my user name with any sort of alphabet faggotry.

NOCO Boost HD. 12 volt/ 2000amp. Had started diesel tractors, a DuraMax diesel, and a Jeep TJ on several occasions ( it doesn’t get driven much). I’m glad Santa brought it to me.
