I can remember when Medoview was really good - head coach Bobby Wasden as coach (played on the 57 AU championship team) and his son Shane as qb was a stud - he went on to play for AU - he was the fastest guy at AU football camp I was at - he ran 4.38. Ended up being one of AUs fastest players. Medoview won some championships during that time

I remember watching Shane at AU. He was a fast kid and good punt returner. I ran track in AISA. My teammate broke Shane’s 100 meter record at the Selma state track meet in 1991. I am not sure if my teammates state record still stands. That year was the only time I have ever been on a team that won a state championship.
