Vincent hosts luvern tonight. Vincent is 9-1 #8 in 2A . Vincent has had some really good teams but this one is probably their best. Looks like that was an exciting game. 36-35 Vincent if the score I'm seeing is correct. Pleasant grove is the real deal in 5a....Ranked #3 in the state and beating Alexandria 34 to 0 at the half.... I remember the days of Lou Scales and Coach Ginn. Alexandria was a Machine back in them days. Pleasant Grove must have let off the gas in the 2d half.

^^^^ I can remember when Medoview was really good - head coach Bobby Wasden as coach (played on the 57 AU championship team) and his son Shane as qb was a stud - he went on to play for AU - he was the fastest guy at AU football camp I was at - he ran 4.38. Ended up being one of AUs fastest players. Medoview won some championships during that time

The school my daughter teaches at, poor little Meadowview Christian was 0fer again this year and still made the playoffs and the bracket makes it look as if they got a bye. Boy will that school go wild when they finally win one. My son’s school, Cornerstone Christian, played them a few weeks ago. We beat North River 72-51 tonight. First playoff win for the school in a long time. We play Springwood next week in round two. Will be a good game but we dealt them their only conference loss earlier this year on a last second pass to my son (52 yards) as time expired. They will be looking for revenge but it could go either way. Exciting times for sure.

It was a heart-breaker of a loss for Luverne, We just got tired from the long day and started falling off in the 2nd half.

My teammate broke Shane’s 100 meter record at the Selma state track meet in 1991. I am not sure if my teammates state record still stands. That year was the only time I have ever been on a team that won a state championship.

I coached at Faith Academy a few years ago, we went up to Pleasant Grove in the 2nd round. We had a great O line and a D1 RB. We had not played anyone that we couldn’t run the ball on at will. PG had a Mississippi State commit at LB and a few D1 recruits on offense. They beat us pretty good. The Mississippi State kid flew around like a missile and wreaked havoc all night. We didn’t run the ball at will needless to say.

Can’t remember what he ran at AU - think it was 4.3s I was talking about the teammate of Narrow Gap that had the 100 meter state record. A new AHSAA state record was set last spring. But since you guys were in the AISA I wasn’t sure if it would be the same.
