If you don't have a torque wrench you can use the small end of a Allen wrench or torx which ever it has and tighten it until you can't anymore to the point it hurts your thumb and that will put you close to 18-20 in lbs torque.just about impossible to damage a scope tube or leave any ring marks with that method.great way to tighten ring caps without a torque wrench .
