Ar10's are slightly more finicky than 15's but only a little since there's more variation in designs. I'd start with gas block not installed correctly or needing a different weight buffer.it shouldn't be having reliability problems though unless it just doesn't like a certain ammo or magazine it happens.
Try different buffer weight first .extremely easy to swap and cheap then if still a problem check gas block.sometimes the tolerance between gas block and tube Won't work together and allow enough gas blow by to short stroke.ive dealt with this before you look at gas block where tube goes in and see if you can see a carbon streak blowing back out.thats first indicator.also after that can remove gas block and check the carbon ring around gas port on barrel to tell if gas block and tube are aligned with gas port .also try a different mag.i wouldn't give up on it.easy platform to get running but this can happen with wrong buffer and knuckle head kids putting these things together for bear creek
All are easy cheap fixes
If scope is sliding torque it more and if ring caps are touching each other bottomed out you need a new Mount can't be tightened anymore.
My troy m110a1 is very reliable .just as reliable as any other 308 battle rifle
