You will need a small toaster oven or something similar to bake the powder. I made a wire mesh basket from some hardware cloth. If you do the acetone method then ya need the acetone and a acetone proof container to shake the buckshot in.

Shake-n-bake then a #5 plastic container, powder and the oven.

Black is typically hard to get a good coat. I’ve gotten a few colors from smoke over on the castboolits forum. Everything I’ve gotten from him has done a good job. I like the olive drab color he has.

I've used smoke's powder as well and had awesome results. I've also ordered from powder by the pound and had good results.

The plastic container needs to have a 5 inside the recycle symbol on the bottom. I use a cool whip container. I haven't tried the powder that you are asking about.

OK, I have the equipment coming. I have a toaster oven from Home depot, Some eastwood hot coat ford blue powder. a stainless steel mesh cloth (I will be coating small size T, F, and 4 buckshot) I also ordered some parchment paper because i have heard that baking them on the mesh wire leaves uncoated marks on them. I also ordered some of them air soft bb,s that I may not need. Can anyone think of anything else? any more advice?

I picked up some Sherwin Williams black that has worked great.

I coat on parchment and it won't leave a bear spot from the paper, but it will where the pellets touch each other. I want to try the clear so I don't have to worry about bear spots.

Good advice, I plan to use parchment paper and will plan on doing only enough at a time, that I can keep them spread out. I have never done this before and i really appreciate all the help
