Anyone use one? I usually pack my clothes into the stand and get dressed there but I'm hoping to just be able to wear light to mid weight clothing to the stand and take the suit with me to put on once I'm cooled off and settled in. I've got plenty of good clothes and I never get cold but I'm wanting to simplify and size down what I'm packing in on the days that stay below 30 degrees up here. I'm also looking at the Arctic Shield suit but the reviews aren't as good as those on the Heater Bodysuit.

I always wanted to get the rigid drill camo jacket but they stopped selling them anything else would be to expensive to maintain batteries for, maybe I’ll keep checking eBay

I have one. Mainly used it when I was bow hunting cold weather. It is handy just rolling it up like a sleeping bag and not carrying several layers. It also hides hand movement if you are messing with your phone or eating a snack. My wife takes it with her to ball games in the spring when the temp is still cold.

They work and work well. They a lil heavy to pack in and out but they do work great. You can get a sleeping bag thats lighter and cheaper and do the same thing

Not sure about the heated suit. But in the fire service we used a cooling vest that pumped icewater out of a cooler, around your torso and it was a game changer on big fires.

I purchased a couple of cooling vests for my inspectors this summer. I freeze two sets of ice packets that velcro in. It's also a game changer. I can still work even when it's normally unbearable and it prevents the heat exhaustion I'm more and more prone to.

I’ve used our heater body suit a couple times when it’s been really cold with wind. It works for sure. I wouldn’t have survived on the edge of a clear cut one morning with a north wind an 18deg outside without it. The material really seems to block the wind. I have no experience with a sleeping bag in a stand so no clue if they would block the wind like it does at a cheaper or similar price.

As others have stated, it’s a little heavy to tote. It can get pretty warm in that thing if the temps aren’t really cold.

Carry a throw to cover your legs and feet. Put hand warmers in the cargo pockets of your pants and get some good mittens with hand warmer pockets. Use a good wool head and face covering. As long as you are dry - those will keep you plenty warm and can be easily carried in a backpack.

When I was in the military, we used what was called sleeping shirts, thermal underwear and wool gloves to keep us warm in sub freezing weather and stiff breezes on the flight line.

This may sound crazy, but a hand warmer tucked your collar on the back of your neck will make you whole upper body feel warm. Once that wind hits down the back of my neck I’m done. But a hand warmer tucked into my collar is mighty nice.

Also put the sticky body warmers on your kidneys

I used to do this in the winter when we were decommissioning nuclear facilities in East TN since they had no power. I would also tape some on top of my steel toe boots cause those steel toes would get cold quick.

I have one and it works well when it’s cold and windy

A fellow I used to hunt with was a cancer survivor and the sickness made him prone to get cold really easy. The sleeping bag was a game changer for him.

Thanks for the feedback. My issue isn't that I get cold. The issue is that I sweat really bad on some of the long walks in so I have to dress light and pack in my boots, socks, bibs and parka. My hope was that the suit will weigh less and be easier to carry in than my frame pack and I'll still be plenty warm for all day sits. It sounds like it's worth a shot so I ordered one .

Then the heater body shut will be perfect for you. I have one and use the crap out of it. Game changer for me because I quit packing any clothes. I can walk without sweating and I stay warm, very warm. I hunted all day in one last year during the rut when a big front was coming in. High 20s low 30s and high winds all day. Never got cold one time, not even my feet. My feet sweat bad and now they never get cold.

So does Makita. Works great. I bought a HBS last year but never got cold enough to use it

Not a body suit but I have several old sleeping bags I am going to put in my two best shooting houses after reading this post.

I’ve got a Amazon heated jacket works pretty good but the ole company card may have a mysterious charge on it here soon 😂
