Politicians seldomly vote for what their constituents would have them vote for. If they do, its because thats what happens to pay the politician best at that time. They vote money and power 100% of the time. Taxation without representation is reality. Thats where we live. Politicians do interviews on the news and say they know what their constituents want but will vote the other way. Ive seen that several times. It should be illegal. They were elected to and are paid to represent We the people. They dont do that, ever
...and their answer is always "well, then, control that at the ballot box" knowing the ratio of the constituency who are ignorant on their vote on issues vs those who are keen them falls overwhelmingly on the side of ignorance. AKA, I'll win the election whether you vote for me or not, as long as I keep telling the ignorants what they want to hear.
