sorry to ask, I see this all the time and I don't know what fel stands for?

sorry after I typed it I saw it for the first time, front end loader..

I keep mine low, just below the hood. I keep my bucket on all the time , never know when you'll need to move a log. I have been know to get a bucket of dirt to help keep the front end on the ground going up a steep hill.

I was toting a log to the truck with a skid steer one time. I had lifted it up to go over a little dogwood tree i was trying to protect. They had been blowing leaves up to a bank right there and i didnt know the bank was there. I dropped one of my front tires off that bank and was upside down in about half a second with the log still in my grapple. That could easily happen if you ran off in a stumphole with the bucket up.

I see guys working hay all the time toting the bucket high.

I learned from experience to keep it down. I rolled mine over, it's pretty scary ride when you know there's no stopping it. Even on level ground I keep it down, you never know when you may hit a hole

That's what I do with both the JD and the Yanmar. I don't even know how to remove the bucket and have never had reason to take it off. I'm always seeing a sweetgum that needs to be pushed down and I stop often to do that. What's bad is when I am hauling something in the bucket, see a sweetgum, and forget that I have something in the bucket.

I've had to dig things out of the woods, but haven't ruined anything yet.

I use one of these with a hitch-haul to tote my chainsaw, bush hook, fuel , tools and such . Works mighty fine.

Can’t remember which member to give credit to, but an ATV basket is great for carrying saws etc

Thanks for the ideas! 2Dogs, I've always got an implement of some sort on the back, so I don't think that would help me much. An ATV rack might work for me, but my first thought is that it would be in the way too much when trying to hook up or unhook my scrape blade. It has 4 hoses that are quick connect and I really struggle with them already. I think the rack would put me further away and reduce leverage so much that I wouldn't be able to get them in or out at all. Remember that I am the old man having to sell his bow because he can't draw it anymore. But I would love a place to haul a chainsaw on the tractor.

The item I haul most often in the front bucket is seed and fertilizer. If I have more than one plot in an area I haul the seed and fertilizer for it in the bucket. That works ok until I forget it's there and decide to push a tree down with it still in there.

I had a heavy chain in the front bucket a while back and forgot it was in there; pushed a tree down and then had to get off and put my chain back in the bucket. There's not a good solution for stupidity.

Same thing here, I have a 3930 it's not 4 wheel drive so I keep n implement on. I've ruined a nice Husqvarna chain saw knocking over trees. I like the idea of a basket though.

With a smaller ATV rack mounted to the ROPS , I would also be concerned about hooking up implements with it mounted . Also how easy would it be to remove is another concern. I'm pretty sure you couldn't run a seeder with one mounted like the one pictured.
