I have always said scuppernongs. Only way I ever heard it till just recently. We have grown them since the 70's. My father was a Master Winemaker and was well known in the North Alabama area for the wines he would produce. I am just so-so on my fermenting processes. I wish I would have paid attention and watched what he was doing. I am through for the year and it was alot of work. I thought in June that we would not make a grape due to the drought and the heat. I hauled water to keep the ones I planted this spring alive. Then we had some good rains that really jump started the grapes to growing again. Been a good year. Now we will wait a year to see how they taste! How does one go about getting ahold of a bottle or two of your wine? Scuppanines in my family.
