Pops gave me a 22 out of his safe that I honestly forgot was mine. It would make a good varmint plinker. A quick search online yielded tons of results all over the board.

So, what would be a good quality scope and rings sub $100? No full time/dedicated hunting with it.

Thx -

I put a fixed 4 power on a 10/22 awhile back and I love it. It’s a Simmons I got from the Walmart for like $25-30. I kill the hell outta squirrels with it.

Thanks all. Surprised to see the no vote for Nikon. I’ll check out the others.

Nikon no longer makes scopes and I’ve heard their warranty program is awful.

I bought a nikon rimfire and put it on a 17hmr.sighted it in and put it in the safe. Got it out a couple months later, first time i shot it the reticle was rattling around in it. Amazon wouldnt do anything because it had been over 30 days. I sent it back to Nikon and they made it right. Left a bad taste in my mouth though

I’ve always had good luck with Simmons 22 Mag scopes on rimfires.

There's something about a Ruger 10/22's harmonics that will ruin cheap scopes.

Change out the steel bolt stop pin for polymer and most of that vibration and noise goes away.

For a cheap scope the Nikon pro staff is good I’ve had several on different rifles that don’t get much use, I’ve never tried the rimfire version tho

I have a Hawke on my PCP pellet gun. Very nice scope. Mine was way more than $100 though.

To the OP. I'd look for a used Nikon Prostaff with BDC. Map the BDC out to 100 yards and you're good to go.

I been seeing where they (Amazon maybe?) Were blowing out Burris ff2s for like $114. Seems like a great deal. Other than that, you can usually make scope money go a lot farther if you buy used. Most of the stuff I buy has a lifetime warranty, so I buy without worry. Not sure if you can get into something like that for $100, but maybe. I'd stay on 24 hour campfire until I found what I wanted.

3-9x32 has always been my go to for a general purpose 22. Simmons 22 Mag scopes have been around a long time with no complaints from me.
