Blood trails? I shot a doe at 18 yards tight behind her shoulder once with a 4 blade Muzzy. Arrow exited low as well. From where my arrow was stuck in the dirt to where she lay 70 yards away I could not find one drop of blood. Those 4 blade fixed heads, man you just can't trust them. laugh

First I can assure you that my friend BOHNTR is as good a bow hunter as I know. And second if you have never had a deer run even 20 yards before they started trailing blood then you must have killed about 2 in your lifetime. I'd go as far as to say it's pretty "common" for there to be no or very little blood until enough accumulates in the chest to start blowing out the holes and or nose. A bow shot deer can cover 20 yards in 2 seconds or less. That's not a lot of time for blood to start flowing.
Thanks been bowhunting for 23 years and 17 of them have been bowhunting only..I have killed 46 deer with a bow..And lost 4 deer with a bow..One being this year..It happens part of hunting..So I have a good avg.
