Glad you enjoyed it. Dennis and I are already planning our next trip. I think Mark and I are going to plan an Alaska trip and ride to Deadhorse. Sort of a bucket list thing before we get too old to do it. Jeff has a young wife, so he's either too busy listening to bitchin' or screwin' to go on a trip for too long. grin

Think you’ll take the Kawasaki?

I think by the time we do the Alaska trip I will either have a Triumph Tiger 800XC or a BMW F800GS or a Yamaha Tenere 700. Probably leaning toward the Triumph based on price, reliability and performance. The Triumph Triple motors are about as bullet proof as they come. They have been making that same basic design since 1989 so it's pretty solid. Plus it has tons of torque. The thing the BMW has going for it is that the gas tank is under the seat so it carries its weight a little lower in the frame, and because it's a twin it is a little narrower over all. The Yamaha Tenere is newer, so reliability is unknown, but it's a Yamaha. Plus since it's newer it's more difficult to find a used one at a decent price. I never buy new motorcycles.
