I'm interested in giving these areas a try, but would appreciate any feedback from anyone who hunts (or has hunted) these fields. Specifically around the volume of birds and hunters on the weekends....would rather not be shoulder to shoulder if possible.

But any feedback would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

I have hunted them sporadically over the past few years. After opening weekend, the crowds aren't your problem, it is lack of birds from my experience. Might be able to scratch out 2-3. But I'll be the first to say I usually don't scout for them after the season opens so maybe you can find some good groups using a particular area and have more luck.

Thanks for the feedback!

I actually hunted one of the Mulbery fields this past weekend and your past experience is exactly what I encountered....I unfortunately had the entire field to myself. If there were 4-6 more guns it probably would have been a decent hunt. I had some shots at a few groups but overall it was pretty uneventful. I noticed a fair amount of casings on the ground so opening weekend looked like a success.

All that to say, I'll probably go back in a few weeks - it's a nice place to enjoy a Sunday afternoon.
