Rape, incest exceptions out of South Carolina abortion bill
https://apnews.com/article/abortion...olitics-6498221b8d4d48dde993d3a5a9deb1b7

"Democrats helped set up the fight, choosing not to vote with three moderate Republicans who wanted to keep the exceptions in the bill."
Democrats play the republicans like a banjo. What brain dead republican even put that into the original bill or allowed it?

I honestly think republican politicians like to have democrats in charge, because democrats will turn the other way when the republican politicians steal $$$, as long as the republican politicians play along.

If Republicans lose for honoring the sanctity of innocent life...regardless of manner of conception innocent life is the same precious commodity loved by God...then that says a whole freaking lot more about the humanistic progressive left than anyone else. At some point, foundation principles have to rule a person's worldview. As for me, the test question is simple: is innocent human life sacred? If it is then is it worth saving? I say yes and yes. Many of you may disagree. It's America.

Or the media is planting that seed, so it won't seem so obvious when the cheat again.

The majority of Republicans are in the middle... those moderate Republican voters... especially women lean towards some abortion rights. I was at a table with the wife a while back and every woman was a Republican... and everyone said abortion should be legal for rape, incest, mothers health. The far-right abortion protester type people are in minority.. by a wide margin. Note the abortion laws that passed in Kansas.. a historically Republican state. If you put it up to the people... abortion laws will fall.

I agree with the Supreme Court ruling but it's going to backfire in the face of abortion right activist. More babies will die.

I wouldn’t get too down about prospects for November. Gas is still going to be high, inflation is still running rampant, the markets are trending downward, and the Dems have ample opportunity to further divide the country before November. One headline on a bill being debated in South Carolina ain’t gonna overturn all that has gone to chit in the last 2 years. Those exceptions are still very likely to be in the final version of the bill before it passes. The national media is doing all it can to try and get conservatives to not show up in November. The only way Dems win (in states with secure elections, there are a few that are still going to be heavily tampered with) is for conservatives and independents to stay home and not vote.

Not sure I follow your logic here - they are going to lose b/c the Dems helped them take the exceptions out of the main bill but they were brain dead for even allowing it in there to begin with? Isn't the end result of the bill the same in those scenarios?

From what I understand, rape and incest and life of the mother abortions are very rare. The left used these cases to get it passed in the first place knowing they were rare.

I just wish the other 49 states would put the question before the voters like Kansas did.

Im not a fan of state wide voting. That is why we have state houses and elect representatives. Urban areas always dominate statewide votes.

Yeah , there's the problem . Keep god out of it .

You don't have to use god in the argument to win . Yall need to learn when you force your religion belief into stuff it scares the big majority of the people . You ain't never gonna win.
