I saw a hen with 4 poults crossing a road in Perry county this morning, a couple of miles from the farm. They were only about 100 yds from a working loading deck of a logging operation. They somehow know when they aren't in danger. The poults were about 3/4 grown; a later hatch than most I've seen this year.


All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.
