Hate to read this friend…gout hurts worse than getting stepped on by a horse.
My “former” pill pusher doc had me on Celebrex for gout, then doubled dosage, and was going to quadruple dosage…and I wen to another doc.
This issue had dragged on for 4 weeks of excruciating pain.
New doc prescribed indomethacin (spelling?).
By that evening, pain was about half of what it had been…and two days later it was totally gone.
I’m not a doc, nor do I know your health history…but those little green capsules fixed the gout like NOW!
I now take a daily regime of Allopurinol, and with minor changes in diet and exercise, I haven’t had a gout flare up in several years.
Hope this helps,
Butch
Yeah celebrex is an NSAID. used for arthritis not gout. Unless they’re using it for some off label reason. I’ve never heard celebrex used for gout.
