The doc didn’t give you the right meds if it’s still hurting.
This may sound crazy but, if you got the meds in you to help break up those little shards. Go ahead and rub/grind your fingers into the area where it hurts. You will be helping the breakup and keep doing it until you just can’t stand it. You will be cussing me tonight but you will feel better tomorrow.
Long term, figure out what part of your diet causes it. For me, it’s not red meat, it’s too much pork in a short timeframe.

Anyone that's never had Gout can't believe how bad a small area can hurt. No human could stand their whole body hurting that bad.
BTW, Colcrys is the weapon of choice , but it'll sure mess your plumbing up. Lots of black cherry juice will help also.
"Why do you ask"?
Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

I got gout in my big toe once in college, thought I’d die for a few hours but it finally went away and haven’t had it since🤷🏼♂️
Just pressure from the bed sheet was unbearable.

Hate to read this friend…gout hurts worse than getting stepped on by a horse. My “former” pill pusher doc had me on Celebrex for gout, then doubled dosage, and was going to quadruple dosage…and I wen to another doc.
This issue had dragged on for 4 weeks of excruciating pain. New doc prescribed indomethacin (spelling?). By that evening, pain was about half of what it had been…and two days later it was totally gone.
I’m not a doc, nor do I know your health history…but those little green capsules fixed the gout like NOW! I now take a daily regime of Allopurinol, and with minor changes in diet and exercise, I haven’t had a gout flare up in several years.
Hope this helps, Butch

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Yeah celebrex is an NSAID. used for arthritis not gout. Unless they’re using it for some off label reason. I’ve never heard celebrex used for gout.

Drink all the water you can stand, then drink some more. Cherry juice helps.

Toughest man I ever knew said even the bed sheet hurt. I'm not very tough but I'll go ahead and confirm that even the bed sheet does indeed hurt. Socks are unbearable. Before it got to it's worst, I went to work with a workboot on one foot and a loafer with the toe cut completely out. No toes in that sock either. When I bumped my toe on a table leg I thought it would have been less painful to remove it with a dull hacksaw. Alopurinol 300 mg daily keeps it in check now.

If 36 and good health, you shouldn't have gout! First time I had gout I was around 25. Age don’t mean anything.

It is some BS. Got my first incident a few months ago. Sort of snuck up on me. Hurt a little then got a bit worse each day. I thought I'd kicked something, but turned out to be gout. Second bout hit me during a golf trip to Scottsdale. I think hydration is key; I'm always behind on water but drink plenty and enjoy red meat.

Allopurinol daily helps keep it at bay for me. Drop the allopurinol and I take colcrys when I have a flare up. Big toe is bad, ankle is worse, and the knee is excruciating. Hopefully you can figure out what may be causing flare ups.
