I'm with Mike59- WTH is she ( or any non ambassador) doing there?! That is not in the scope of a US Congress persons job is it?
Surely she read about the US rep that went to "visit" Jim Jones in Guyana ( or wherever). Maybe she will fare better,
Maybe I'm not up to date on my civics..... but I know it is our tax dollars underwriting this boondoggle.... so they can line their own pockets down the road I’m with you on this. Her role is to represent the constituents in California only. Visiting Taiwan is an enormous waste of tax payer money. Sadly, she was chosen as the person to represent the whole House of Representatives when they elected her as Speaker. There is a reason it is called the Speaker of the House. She speaks for them, well when she is sober enough to speak anyways.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
