Jackson Hole is closest to Grand Teton and you can get to Yellowstone by going through Grand Teton. Jackson Hole will likely be the more expensive place to stay. We stayed in Wilson, WY. It was a four hour drive from there to YellowStone. We got up early and made the drive. It was easy and scenic. The advice I got was to stay inside YellowStone if that was to be your focus. Simply move around inside the park to various lodges. The other advice was to carry a cooler and pack it accordingly. Anywhere to get food or souvenirs was packed. The cooler was a lifesaver! I can't understate how packed YellowStone was when we went. That damn buffalo chilling on the side of the road caused a 30 min traffic jam. Also, on the way back to Wilson, there was a wreck on the one road coming in/out of the park. We got stuck for a little over an hour. It worked out though as it gave me an excuse to stop at Jenny Lake Lodge and have a beer or ten on the porch there. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/kK6dguC.jpg) ETA: Sorry to hijack your thread!
