I don't understand how the DSG in Tuscaloosa stays open. I'm forced to go there occasionally to buy baseball-related stuff that I can't find anywhere else in town, but there are rarely more than 10-12 cars in the parking lot and that includes (presumably) employees.

Academy is going to be in trouble soon too, though, if they don't figure out their supply chain issues. They almost never have whatever I'm looking for in stock, even if their website says they do (the inaccuracy of the website is almost becoming a joke among the employees...they just shake their head when you point out the site saying something is IN STOCK when it's not). Of course, any time you question it, the answer you get is "because COVID......", and they want you to order it online from them instead.

But I got news for them...if I gotta order something online, I'll just order it from Amazon and have it 2 days later. The ONLY way any of these retail stores can compete with Amazon is the ability to handle/try on something in person before you buy it, and have it same-day. If they can't provide that, then they have no way to compete.
