Went back to top loader after front loader croaked. Had it about 2yrs (top of the line Maytag) and just donated it and bought a Speed Queen with the old school analogue dials and an agitator. Most digital ones lock the top, can’t control water depth for soaking and something else my wife didn’t like about it. Clothes come out cleaner and don’t take nearly as long to complete a wash.
^^^This^^^. We literally gave away a fully functioning front load Whirlpool washer and dryer because I was tired of my wife complaining about the smell and having to replace the rubber front seal. Went with an old school top load Speed Queen set and never looked back.
