Looking at buying a new bow. Which brand is best.

They are all good. I just got a Hoyt Alphamax and I would buy another one tomorrow.

Both are top of the line and I don't think you can go wrong with either. Go shoot both and take one home, you won't regret either choice.

Personally, I have shot a matthews for years and loved it, then I shot a hoyt this year while at a bow shop. Needless to say, I left with a new hoyt. It was smooth shooting and just felt better. Killed the first deer with it Saturday morning and everything went as planned. Bottom line is, just be sure and shoot em both before you make a decision.

both are great bows. i shot both and they were both nice but the mathews Z7 seem to be a little smoother to me so thats what i left with

If you can go spend the money go get the Z7 go get it it shoots great. I couldnt go spend that so I bouth the Mission eliminator 2 made by matthews. IT shoots wonderful and comes with the same warranty and gauruntee that matthews comes with. IT is a fantastic buy for the price which is about 400 bucks cheaper then the Z7

I jab my Mathews friends quite regular because I shoot Hoyt. However I like them both. Hoyt edged out Mathews by just a bit for me. Go shoot them. And don't limit yourself to just these two brands. You may find what you're looking for and save yourself a lot of money. Good luck and don't settle. Go for what's better for you.
