You got that right. By far the best one I have ever fished.

I didn’t want to let the cat out of the bag since you gave me the pro tip on these, but since IC mentioned them, they’re by far the best buzz bait I’ve ever thrown.

I recently got a War Eagle one but haven't tried it yet. Having a hard time finding the old Lunker Lures anymore. Have several old ones that are all tore up. Can't get them bent back just right.

1/2 ounce war eagle with a zoom horny toad on the back won a lot of money on that set up. In the fall I'll throw a 1/4 ounce war eagle with a rage menace on it to scale down the presentation

When I was growing up on Neely, there was a guy named Eldridge Martin. He made his own buzz baits and called them clackers. He would bend the blade just right where it would hit the head. All he would throw was white, no trailer. He caught some huge fish back in the day. This would have been early 80s.

First buzz bait I saw was at Collinsville trade day mid 70’s. Guy had a cardboard box full for .50 each. I brought home 2 & caught the pizz out of some beaver pond bass. You guys realize how fast you have to turn the handle of a Zebco 33 to keep that thing on top?? laugh

Yes. Dad's good friend was a tournament angler and we only threw worms in our oxbow lake. He brought the friend and showed me buzzbaits and spinnerbaits. After a summer of speed feeling, I bought a 5500.
