I've got one of the screw in fold down LED lights the OP asked about on my back porch and it does fine for a relatively small area. I haven't had it long enough to determine how it will hold up though. My porch is about 15 X15 and it lights it up much brighter than the old bulbs.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
