Is there a solution to an over stocked pond which would also pay for the fertilizer and baitfish for said pond ?
I can catch and give them away or I can catch them and throw them on the bank but neither helps my input cost .
I know it is illegal to sale fish ( bream ) but could I sale packs of gum say 40¢ per stick ? And with each stick of gum I could give away a fingerling bream 2-3 inch
Or I could sale sticks of gum for $ $2 each and give away an adult 6+ inch bream ?

Slippery slope. Cast net the pond and thin the gills.

You can charge people to fish in the pond . Fish in private ponds is not regulated by stas limits or rules

If you want to you can telephone or Dynamite them all you want

This is the answer

What makes you say it is “over stocked”?

I didn’t know people looked for a monetary return or even a break even when installing and stocking a pond. I’ve always just seen it like a swimming pool. It’s purely recreational unless you’re watering cows or something.

I mean we let everybody that ask fish it but I’m not sure you can fish them out .I can go catch 50-75 every evening for a long time without a noticeable change in density . I don’t really break even as I stock 10-30 lbs of minnows a few times a year . We have a managed pond that most people want to fish in bc of ease of access and fish size .
As to address some of the dumbasses suggesting opening it to the public obviously don’t deal with the public or own a pond bc I’m not gonna pick up trash and cans and fishing line 24-7 .
Shaneomac your more than welcome to come load the truck bed with as many as you can haul home .

Get your local High School Bass Team to come out there as one of their service projects. That way you have a supervised event with someone to answer to. Cook em some hot dogs and let them learn a little bit about conservation. I know we've done it here and it was a meaningful event for everyone involved. Brought some boys club kids and showed them a good time.

You can use bream as bait. Can they be sold as bait? I'm sure some here know the answer. Maybe a few even know the correct answer. 😁 I wouldn't go make a down payment on a beach house based on it though.

Or broke beer bottles for the cows to step on.

Kin folk are the worst and for some reason they think "a mess of fish" is a hundred pounds worth
