I’ve been wearing a cheap Walmart vest the last 20 years that finally wore out. I don’t carry box/slate calls so those specialized pockets aren’t important. I want a good cushion with back support and prefer a pouch for water bladder. I prefer zip pockets on front on inside vest. Also curious if anybody carries the pouch the lady in NC sews can’t remember the name.

I'd snag that Cabelas Tactical Tat'r in the classifieds if it's remotely nearby....

I’ve been wearing a russell super elite 3 since they were first available. Since they quit making them, I have acquired two more in good shape. They don’t have the bladder pouch in the rear, but other than that they are perfect to me. I wouldn’t be the best at keeping the bladder pouch clean and sanitary as much as I hunt, so I carry a big Gi plastic canteen and it works well.

Nomad makes several that would probably be along the lines of what you seek.

That Cabelas vest is a steal. Try to find one anywhere else under $100 and you’d probably be SOL.

I’m partial to the knight and hale R&G 200. To me it’s the perfect vest for someone who does a lot of walking and doesn’t carry much crap. Cushion and back support aren’t as good as one of the big bulky vests, but more than adequate for my needs. Can put a bladder in the back.

I have the same vest. First season using it, also first season using a water bladder. It worked good, and was comfortable, but I need a few more pockets lol

I use a Tom Teaser, very similar to a Glenda. I wore a vest a few times, way too hot! I love the bag, along with 6 pocket pants you got all the room you'll ever need.

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

The old 10x vests are great if you can find one.

I hear mossy oak is coming out with a vest similar to the Dixon and will be in honor of the Mr. Fox Haas

Get a RNG 200 vest and take the cushion off. Find one of them old wedge supreme cushions with a strap and you’ll never even know you’re carrying it. You can sit comfortable all day

I really like the cabelas speed seat , they did away with them a few years but have brought them back. I ordered a couple spares but the one ive had for more than 10 years is still holding up good. And ive got a really good deal on the tat"r in the classifieds if interested.

RNG 200 or Alps Impact. The impact doesn't have a thick cushion, but it's more than adequate for me.
