Good summary. I would add that a key point I didn't know is that the President of the USA can with the stoke of a pen sign an executive order to immediately suspend all oil exports from this country. This guy feels certain that Biden will do it, probably before the end of the year. That would likely result in the price of oil in the US decoupling from the price for the rest of the world. Our price would drop to 75, while Europe might pay 175 or more. And places like southeast Asia would struggle to get any at all.
I asked an analyst for a major oil company what he thought about this prediction and he didn't think the prices would vary that much. But it would certainly be a drastic change to the oil market, and that means it will change the world. I would love to see the USA have cheap oil, but I don't wanna see a billion people starve to death. I'm glad someone smarter than me will decide. Oh, wait....
